Welcome to Muscle Mechanics in Bracknell.
My name is Kim Shamtally and I am a therapist with clinic in Bracknell. I also offer a mobile service, to find out more about this please contact me.
I qualified with the International Institute of Reflexology and trained in the Eunice Ingham method of reflexology. I am experienced in a variety of massage treatments including Aromatherapy blends to suit your individual needs.
I am experienced in Orthopedic and Aroma Reflexology techniques and graduated in Complementary Therapies at Surrey University, including VTCT training in Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy. I have worked with Oncology patients for over 3 yrs within the NHS, through The Fountain Centre based at St. Lukes, Guildford.
I am currently working with the local football club, Camberley United, to offer my services voluntarily throughout the Grassroots football season. I help keep players healthy by creating holistic recovery plans to recover from injury, or to simply keep muscles in good shape.
Whether you are looking for support with an existing heath condition, want to reduce your day-to-day stress levels or would just like a little "me" time, my aim is to get you feeling happier, healthier and energised with specially-tailored reflexology/massage treatments.
Since training at the International Institute of Reflexology, I have become more aware of my health and state of mind. Since 2016, I have been learning more about current mental health issues and offering reflexology to young adults and children.
What did it do for me?
Through the use of Complementary Therapies, I have been blessed with 3 children and recovered my body to embrace everyday life again. The mind and body connection has a profound effect on the way we perceive life. By working with clients, I have been humbled by the shear strength and courage you all possess at times when you’re most vulnerable. All I do is offer assistance to help you on your Journey to better health.
I have learnt looking after your mind and your body is the key to optimal health and that stress can affect your body in a physical, spiritual and mental capacity. Complementary Therapies can help everyone from babies to people 90+. Mothers to be can also feel the benefits of a treatment throughout pregnancy.
You can expect to feel sleepy and relaxed or at times a buzz of energy to get up and go... motivation, energy and a drive to succeed will be helped by getting a good nights sleep. Your body will appreciate the need for rest & relaxation, a chance to recharge and contemplate your next challenge.
Complementary Therapies are recognised as valid treatments for stress. To people who have yet to try complementary therapies, have a taster session to make up your own mind! If the treatment helps then that is progress to help you feel great.
After completing a series of courses in London working with the fascia network, let me help unwind muscles that seem stuck in a position of pain. A full assessment of range of movements and pelvis will be provided to help facilitate a treatment plan suitable for you.
Monthly offer: 20% off all treatments throughout August!
Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Reflexology is a unique method of using the thumb & fingers on these reflex areas. Conditions of poor health are 70% most likely to be derived from stress and nutritional imbalance.
Why take chances with your health by ignoring the aches and pains? Consultations are free and all information given is strictly confidential.

If you want to experience bespoke aromatic blends look no further. Aromatherapy massage is a gentle manipulation of the muscles from your head to your toes. Oils are carefully selected with an initial consultation.
Different oils can create powerful effects on the mind and spirit leaving you feeling centred and relaxed. A complete treatment including face and scalp can take 1 hour and 15 minutes. Other combinations like: back, neck and shoulders or arms, legs and face are also available.
Treatments can help with: anxiety, sleep, tiredness, back pain, grief, concentration and much more. Why not book a pampering session....or choose an aroma inhaler to take home? Gift vouchers available.

Working with numerous techniques to unwind your muscles from a stressful day, your massage can be vigorous or soothing depending on your needs. Deep tissue massage works on the neck, shoulders and lower back, to try relieve chronic pain and sciatic discomfort. The effects of the carrier oil used after massage can leave the skin feeling soft and smooth.
Aromatherapy is a way of creating a blend individual to your needs both emotionally and physically. When used in massage it can help sustain the benefits of relaxation for longer. Respiratory conditions and mental fatigue can be helped with the use of oils through the olfactory system.
Body massage is a great choice to work alongside current medical treatment and alternative therapies like: chiropractic, acupuncture and physiotherapy.

It is usually safe to have my treatments alongside conventional medicine, but if you are currently having any medical treatment please speak to your GP before booking an appointment.
What do I have to do before a treatment?
Take a few minutes to check your body for any cuts or infections that could affect the treatment from taking place and cover the cuts with a suitable dressing. Should you spot any infection or change in the appearance of the skin, please contact me as this may need medical attention. Bruising, recent fractures or breaks will need time to heal and will be worked around if possible. Chronic conditions will need a brief discussion with your doctor to determine if complementary therapies would be beneficial during your recovery/management of condition.
Will it hurt?
It may be that there are tender areas that can cause mild pain to your body. This pain will pass usually resulting in better movement and circulation to the nerves of the body. All pain that can be experienced is generally 'a good pain'.
Adjustments to pressure, technique and support can be made to suit you throughout the treatment.
How much will it cost?
Depending on what treatment you choose approximately £45 (aromatherapy oils will increase this price slightly).
GIFT VOUCHERS AVAILABLE.
Should I continue taking medication that has been prescribed?
Yes... Complementary Therapies can not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe you.
What should I do if I can't have the treatment booked?
I have a clinic based in Bracknell that is easily accessible from Sandhurst, Camberley, Blackwater and surrounding areas.

"After a football injury 3 years ago I have struggled with knee pain after exercise that can only be reduced with ibuprofen, well not anymore, Kim sent me some of her magic balm which I massage all around the knee joint when its aggy and hey presto all good, thank you Kim magic."
“I have swapped treatments several times with Kim and she is an excellent therapist attuned to a client's issues.
After each treatment I truly felt great.”
"When I hurt my back helping my son to learn to stand again, I used Kimberly's balm on my back which helped me get up and about again. Then Kim gave me some massages to release the trapped muscle. Without the balm, in the beginning I would have been bed bound, but the balm is really good."
